TEAS
Most popular are the teas in the Old Billiard Room in the house. During garden open days, hot and cold drinks are available, along with a range of home-made cakes and buns, all at very reasonable prices. On cold, wet days there is a blazing log fire to sit by; on warm sunny days you can bask outside on the Victorian patio. The Billiard Room was added to the house in about 1875. It features a fine Victorian hammer-beam roof, recently restored to its original state.

MOBILITY
The valley in which the garden is situated gives a great landscape but unfortunately limits access for those with mobility problems. However, special disabled parking is provided on the level terrace in front of the house. There is wheelchair access to the Old Pond and the charming Walled Garden, a sun-trap where the scent of wisteria fills the air as you look across to the banks of rhododendrons beyond the Fountain Pond.

Wheelchair users are given free access to the garden.

TOILETS
Toilets are located in the Courtyard, accessible through the Archway at the back of the house. At present there is no wheelchair access to toilets

CHILDREN
Every year we organise a quiz or treasure trail to entertain and educate children as they go round the garden, always ending up with a prize in the tea room.

DOGS
Dogs are welcome in the garden if kept on a lead.
