Seasonal menu for the autumn in the newly extended Lukesland tea room

As autumn arrives with a nip in the air there is nothing like a bowl of home-made vegetable soup and a slice of delicious cake to round off a visit to Lukesland Gardens. We like to use our own vegetables in the soup when we can. This year we have had a good crop of squash, pumpkin, tomatoes and courgettes, so these will be featuring on the menu. With apple trees laden with fruit this year we will also add our popular apple cake to the usual array of delicious baking favourites.

If you haven’t seen our new kitchen servery and courtyard sitting area yet then you are in for a treat. Completed for our Spring opening this year, the extension to the Old Billiard Room is a cosy room, with underfloor heating and a woodburner. On sunny days the courtyard is also a sun trap. Come and enjoy them for yourselves!
